ONCE UPON A TIME
In what I affectionately refer to as my 'previous chapter,' I was something of a mystery, often reserved and perhaps a tad unapproachable. My resting face didn't exactly give 'come talk to me' vibes. During that time, I found myself on a rather destructive path that looked a little like this...
I raced through life at breakneck speed, all in an effort to avoid being alone with my thoughts. My job became my great escape, often working 12 hour days. I splurged on anything that promised to fill the emotional void I felt inside. My meals lacked nourishment, my nights stretched into the early hours, and my consumption of alcohol went well beyond the occasional glass or two.
Before I knew it, my exhausted and depleted body had had enough.
Amidst the chaos of adrenal fatigue, severe hormonal imbalances, bouts of depression, a laundry list of vitamin and mineral deficiencies, candida overgrowth, and adult acne, my body was waving a giant red flag. It practically shouted from the rooftops, urging me to hit the brakes. The warning signs couldn't have been clearer—my body had reached its limit.
After participating in a life-changing gratitude workshop, I had a profound awakening. It became crystal clear just how disconnected I was from my innermost desires and the path to true fulfillment.
It finally dawned on me just how unbalanced every aspect of my life was. I was continually looking outside instead of within for happiness, acceptance, and approval. My emotional state was a tumultuous roller coaster ride, marked by extreme highs and lows, not to mention the incessant sugar highs and crashes. It was far from enjoyable! And it sparked a question—if I was feeling this way, how many others out there must be grappling with the same struggles?
My next decision changed the rest of my life.

I enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I mentored with industry-leading authorities in holistic wellbeing, spirituality, and success. Alongside experts like Deepak Chopra, Andrew Weil, Mark Hyman, and others, I learned the power of positive thinking and how a life well-lived can have a greater impact on our health than diet and exercise alone.
I found myself hungrily consuming every personal growth and spiritual book I could find. I made it a point to attend every workshop and seminar within my grasp, and I was utterly smitten with the idea of sharing all the wisdom I was reacquainting myself with!
So babe, are you head over heels for the Goddess you see in the mirror? I wasn't, not by a long shot! But guess what? I learned to cultivate self-love, to take care of myself, and to nourish my mind, body, and soul with the finest gifts from Mother Nature's pantry.
I figured out how to silence my inner naysayer, stepping into a life that's brimming with wealth, radiating health, and filled to the brim with love.
