Hey there, gorgeous! Are you thinking of starting your day off right with some clean eating but don’t know where to start? I totally get it. Clean eating can seem like a whole new lifestyle that requires a ton of planning and initiation. But guess what? You don’t have to change everything overnight! You can break it down into smaller pieces and slowly integrate it into your life.

When it comes to clean eating, one of the most important things is what you choose to eat. And no, we’re not talking about meal planning according to the grade school food pyramid (yawn). We mean that the closer your food is to its natural state, the better it is for you. So try steering clear of foods that have been refined, processed, or preserved. Keep it natural and gain all those nutrients without any meddling chemicals or preservatives.

Speaking of natural goodness, organic is the way to go when you’re trying to eat real in this day and age. Enhancements and hormonal treatments have crept into all foodstuffs these days, which can have an adverse effect on your health even if you’re eating what you should in all the right quantities. That’s why it’s important to make a mental note of only getting foodstuff that has been labeled organic when you go shopping next time. A little vigilance goes a long way!

Now let’s talk labels because they give away everything you need to know about the food you’re buying! Usually, the more ingredients a product contains, the higher chances that it’s processed. Even when you try eating healthy, there’s a chance that the products you buy contain preservatives, artificial sweeteners and colors that make the healthy unhealthy. Make sure you read those labels so that yogurt in your bowl of berries doesn’t ruin your diet.

Want a super simple trick for eating clean? Just remember: Eating clean equals eating greens! It doesn’t get much easier than that when trying out bare minimums for jumpstarting into clean eating. Try incorporating leafy greens into whatever meal or snack you’re having for a healthy serving of vitamins A, C, and E as well as increased fiber which boosts your metabolism by assisting digestion. By filling yourself up with fewer calories but more nutrients with leafy greens allows being healthy just by looking out for a certain color of food – now THAT’S easy peasy!

Lastly – let’s talk omission! One of the easiest things you can omit for maximum effect is artificial sugar (boo!). First things first: recognize all things containing artificial sweeteners such as soda cans or candy packs (we know they’re tempting). Drop them like they’re hot (literally) and watch how your energy stabilizes while uplifting mood too- canceling out artificial sugars does wonders for both mind & body!

So there ya have it – some tips on how to start your day off right with clean eating! Remember: small steps lead up to big changes so keep at it babe!
